Error messages

Customer

Academic exercise for the SHIFTA postgraduate degree in UX writing.

Role

For this exercise I worked as a UX writer creating the error messages and designing two basic wireframes to explain how they would help solve the problems posed by the challenge.

Solution

In both cases, the messages begin with the interest of informing the user about the errors that are occurring with the internet and when logging in.

In addition to this, other alternatives are proposed to improve the experience on the website or mobile App.

Challenge:
Design two error messages for 2 different events:

- There is no Internet
- Username already exists

Message 1: There is no internet

A user who is already registered on the Uber Eats page is about to log in to place a food order. However, it cannot connect correctly, because the internet connection has been interrupted.

Message 2: Username already exists

A second user comes to the Uber Eats website to place a food order for the first time. Initially, you need to register to create an account and log in.

However, when you enter the username with which you would like to identify yourself, an error message appears indicating that the username is already being used by someone else.
